Majority Confirmation Bias
« on: February 04, 2012, 02:44:32 PM »
I wrote about this theory I have on my blog.

Does anyone know of a formal name for it? Has anyone else experienced this? Could you be experiencing it now without knowing it?

I actually commented the following on your blog:
Quote
I’ve noticed this bias in my life. I think this especially can apply to politicians. For example, in heavily conservative areas of the USA, people were angry at the promotion of Sonia Sotomayor to Supreme Court justice without ever knowing any of her qualifications. That’s all I’ve got.
I remember experiencing this after the fact; I do not think you can know you are experiencing it at the time.
