Well, I have decided to create a VM just for that, so I could create a great number of user accounts.
yeah, also as far as I also know you could, mount the folder and then give that mounted "drive" a quota.... there's always ways, just a matter of sometimes how much effort your going to.

I understand their pov though Inp, they're setting the defaults as easily as possible, for new users and advanced users will more likely install a cli only system anyhow and build from there or be easily be able to make the necessary edits like so....

Code:
/etc/hostname
then just running
Code:
./etc/init.d/hostname start
right?

They're just trying to make the initial install as easy as possible, which frankly is far less clicks than installing Windows already, I do support this move, Since Linux does have a reputation (undeserved these days, as being for advanced users only, Ubuntu, mint amongst others are very easy to use)

Hm... that's a great idea. I'm also entertaining the possibility of letting users connect over SSH (after uploading their public keys, of course). The only problem is the issue of filesystem quotas...
Hmm, if you let me use python and SSH, I might be able to get sabnzbd+ on your box! XD

Nice design! Do consider getting a TLD for the site.

Yeah but I am afraid that I won't have enough money to pay for the domain and I'll lose it.

And as far as I know it's impossible to get it back without big bucks...
Well that depends if anyone buys it when it expires, if not then you can easily re-register it Wink
And it will cost the same 10 bucks I initially payed to register it? and what are the odds someone would buy it?
because I see lots of domain park pages that say that  have to pay like 20k to buy.

Thanks
It only takes around $10 to re-register a .com. Choose GoDaddy, they always have coupon codes (there's even sites dedicated to these codes). You should only have to pay $13 at the most to renew a domain. If you let it expire and someone else buys it, however, it will be a huge pain to get back. Just renew it before it expires, it shouldn't be that hard to make $13 a year, I make ~$5 a month via Paypal through SwagBucks, by simply searching the web. [/spam] There's plenty of easy ways to make money, and if you get desperate, you could always try survey sites (assuming you're from the US, if not they're a little harder to do).

It's not mobile friendly, it's human unfriendly. ugly.

But it'll be a great feature to implement my SUPER AWESOME FORUM AGGREGATOR that I've been planning to make for years and still am not making yet.

I'm running my entire computer/os off a flash drive now. (Cute with a tiny 8gb flash drive sticking off the side of my two monitors).

Only problem is that I'm using 80% RAM now 40% cache, 40% programs, probably because chrome is configured to cache to /dev/shm (but when I clear browser cache, it doesn't go down Sad). So with 8 gigs of ram, I fear that hitting 95% is bad.
