http://www.phonearena.com/reviews/Motorola-DROID-3-vs-Motorola-DROID-X2_id2790

it seems more logical to go with the newer one based on looks but functionality idk too little time to read it all...

Oh i prob go with X2 if you planning on taking more pics/vids due to where the cam is located on the phone however i dont know if it comes with a QWERTY board...

Droid X2 is a piece of sh*t. The camera is horrible and everyone I know with one (including mine) says the music player studders A LOT.

I haven't used a D3 though.

Most of the mobile software out there atm is crap.... Android is probably about the best of the bunch atm with the Iphone being about the worst.... I am honestly not sure about the individual hardware makers but what I'd honestly recommend is just get a smallish tablet atm that has 3g/4g and install skype on that sucker! or heck just use google's free calling if all you need is us calling

Get 2.25G of space on Dropbox by CLICKING HERE, Rather than 2G otherwise. Sync files between multiple computers, Web and even share folders with your friends!

I'd say go with the one with the beefier specs, but make sure you are able to load custom builds on it ;)
(Mop kinda messed up there, and now look what it's done to his sanity)

well the vender versions are the custom builds (and screwing everything up), all your doing is puting vanilla android back on to it....

Errr no, they are also custom roms, each phone will have different screen sizes, drivers etc ;)

That's what I figured too. BAD IDEA

People need to learn the value of good software, and software specifically targeted and debugged for specialized hardware.

thanks,

I getting the droid 3. half the people like half don't(some overall issues)  it's on backorder though and has been for so long. i never had a smart phone before. worst case scenario i get a lemon and have to swap it out several times before getting a good one.

I need to get it be sept 30 to get that $100 gift card for goign from basic to smart phone.

My Env3 is seriously in need of replacement, dead outside speaker, and as of today a cracked inside screen. plus the horrible lag on it.

I did however love the voice clarity on my env3(before speaker died). and i heard the droid 3 has issues on that.
