110mb.com Great Webhosting! Review
« on: March 04, 2010, 06:55:04 PM »
Besides getting an instant picture of what 110MB does by going to the website -- it'll allows anyone to register, create & grow a business or personal website.

They get a free domain (EG: MYDOMAIN.110mb.com), or they can use their own domain (EG: www.MYDOMAIN.com).

They'll get free web space, bandwidth, PHP, etc...

And if they want extra benefits or features on their free account -- they can upgrade to premium.

Other Features:

No FTP
Powered by 110mb link forced on pages, which may mess up your layout.
Google Ads not allowed on sites due to google restrictions.

Other than that its not too bad. New boxes are generally unstable, but stable out after a while

I still find Box15 perfectly capable, and am extremely pleased with everything, bar support issues. However, the ethos of today is terrible, and when I need to expand in the future - I won't be coming back.

110mb is dead to me, they banned me for saying that I thought 110mb had failed I didn't curse, in my reasioning everything I said was all true.

So yeah their dead to me, Diemux let me back in after I pleaded with him at the support email address.
Still to have been banned in the first place for simply saying that they had failed compared to what they were in my opinion is insane. those who remember me know I was always trying to think of ways to improve the site.

Remember 110IM/and smf plugin

Now, that's a cool idea. Let's suggest it to them?
Follow the standards, not IE.
- I have decided that I would no longer be developing for "any" of the browsers. I would rather follow the standards and live happily ever after.

I don't think so. We are surprisingly professional, and don't "rant" about users. We do talk about specific users, and their actions.

But if it was different when you were a Global Moderator, perhaps that's why you aren't one anymore.

I'm not quite sure how that's different from ranting.

Well, what else do we call ranting?

I would prefer to call it sharing of character information. xD

Ranting in my opinion would include a unproffesional demeaning of a person or user.

lol the 110mb staff forum,   rarely ever used,, more used by mods to give other mods heads up about potential bots, or spammy users,

plus some administrative info, half of it isn;t relevent anymore. most was to get attention from old admins..

i do gotta say that uptime on the premium server is pretty high. with old users getting moved rather quickly too.

I like how I have it. I still have FTP, no forced ads, a bunch of space (I forget) and other stuff.
