I am placing this topic in "Web Hosting Reviews" section of the forum because of it being potentially helpful for all people looking for reviews and other informations about the web hostings. If you feel that it should be in some other place like "Show Off Your Site" - please, move.Hello everyoneSome of you may know already that for over a year I am monitoring servers of one of the free/paid web hostings. After some time when it started to be enough useful utility for large enough group of people I've decided to monitor also some other shared web hostings and recently I've started to expand range of my service for good.
As for now I am monitoring servers of 11 various - free and paid, international and Polish (
since I am from Poland) - shared web hostings. Servers are monitored regularily every 2 minutes, almost 24/7, in several various aspects such as accessibility of web hosting main page, support forum (
if exists), access through HTTP on port 80, through FTP on port 21, on ports 2082, 2222 or other to control panels on server(
s) with users websites and also accessibility of web hosting nameservers.
On some of the hostings monitoring is expanded also for monitoring of examples of users websites (
only where I do have own test accounts on it and I feel it's worth it to do such monitoring).
Results of the monitoring are updated also every 2 minutes and displayed in the human friendly and easy to understand and interpret (
I hope) graphic form. On main page of every web host monitoring page there are displayed results for last 24 hours, but after navigating through archives menu you can view also the results for every day when monitoring has been done.
